If I understand you right you are trying to send audio from the ReWire master to the ReWire slave. As far as I know ReWire doesn't support that - which is why Reaper's ReWire plugin doesn't have a tab called "Audio send to ReWire", I think.

If you want to use Reason as an audio FX rack for your Reaper sessions, that should be possible with ReaRoute (chapter 21 of the Reaper User Guide). But if you additionally need to sync the timing of both programs you'll also need a MIDI connection between the two. A virtual MIDI cable (like good old MIDI Yoke or similar) should get you there.

It's still not really clear what "whilst getting the sound from Reason" means. I assume you want to record in Reaper, send the audio stream to Reason to be processed in Reason's FX and then send the audio back to Reaper again, is that right? That won't happen with ReWire.

If you just want to record in Reaper while getting sound of Reason's instruments (or Reason's sequencer) into Reaper then ReWire is able to do that. But you cannot send audio from Reaper to Reason via ReWire when Reaper is master and Reason is slave.

Something seems amiss.
It's not that complicated if I'm understanding your problem correctly.
(what I do)
Click on fx window of your dedicated midi track, Reason rewire should be close to the top of the list( underneath Reaper rewire)
Reason will then open inside of Reaper.
Right click on the same tracks red record button to set up ur midi in/out

Anyway, works me me

He wanted to send audio (his guitar) signal to a rewired Reason, not MIDI. As in "use Reason as an audio FX rack on a Reaper track". Which is - astonishingly - not possible with ReWire. All you get over to Reason is MIDI data and the sync. The Propellerheads really should implement audio both ways, but they haven't yet.

It should work using ReaRoute (or another virtual audio cable thingy) but if samsome123 is not desperately needing the sound of Reason's FX, it will be a lot simpler to stay within a single program and use VST plugins.
