Reasamplomatic knobs behaving erratically

Hi guys,
Not sure if I should post this in a bug thread or feature request but I just wanted to see if other people were as frustrated as I am with these squared off knobs on the reasamplomatic plugin, I unfortunately have to work with touchpad on my laptop 99% of the time and I find these knobs tend to jump to extreme values whenever I try to adjust them, often in the opposite direction of where I wish to go. For example if I want to adjust the pitch of an item by a semitone or less I often find that the knob once clicked on will jump to a value a couple of octaves along which I then need to reel back before I can start finding the value I really want. Is this a problem others are facing? Does anyone have any solutions other than using a mouse, has anyone found that this problem persists with a mouse?
