Controlling VST3 audio plugin via midi
I've been trying to get the old school tape loop delay plugin "GSI Varispeed" to respond to recorded midi Continuous Controller data on playback . . .

I found another solution which was to try every midi CC there is and it turns out the GSI VariSpeed tape delay plugin already has CCs assigned and they work when recorded as a midi track.
This plugin is sooper cool now, because I've programmed the knobs on my Akai MPD26 pad controller to control heads 1 and 2, plus the Swell, Repeat, echo tone, and Varispeed so I can do anything from subtle effects like chorus/flanging to exteme tape delay spaceship effects like the old EchoPlex units. Here's the midi Continuous Controller mapping if anyone can use it. On/Off - CC16 Sig Left - CC8 Sig Right - CC9 Head 1 - CC12 Head 2 - CC13 Head 3 - CC14 Tone Defeat - CC15 Swell - CC7 Repeat - CC92 Echo Tone - CC93 Varispeed - CC91 Last edited by Glennbo; 01-16-2021 at 12:56 PM. |

I recorded a short sample of what this plugin can do if you have some hardware knobs or faders you can assign to it's knobs.
