Default Moving all items in a folder

Hello,
Is there a way to move all items within a folder all at once without grouping them? In another daws it is as easy as clicking an "item" in a folder track lane and moving it.

In this example I would like to move all the blue items that are in the folder "1_1" but not the one below, the orange one. I can see all the waveforms combined in tha 1_1 track but I cant click and move it.

This may not be the best method but, if you can see all the items, you can right click/drag to lasso select all the items and then move them as one.

(I'm not sure if this is the default mouse modifier setting but it's easily changed if necessary.)

Yes this is possible but its the same as grouping them. I would like to be able to move them with the folder collapsed.

You could create an empty item on the folder track and group it with the other items.

I just collapse the folder then move the folder track.

There is a script which emulates the folder item behaviour from other daws. https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=205731

Um, I think I misunderstood your OP. I thought you wanted to move the folder track plus its child tracks to a different track number.

It seems you want to move all the child track items to a new place on the timeline? If so, I would just R. Click & drag to select all the items, then cut & paste, or drag them where you want them, as suggested in post #2.

what Philbo says, with the added thought, you can control clk to select whatever of the items you want and then drag that selection to where you want it... might be a good idea to drop a marker where you want it to go just to help you see that point in time.
