Default Reaper - Slow GUI response in MacOS Mojave

After updating the MacOS from High Sierra to Mojave,

Reaper has started to show very slow responses to my mouse and keyboard inputs, making it difficult to perform even simple edits.

Is anyone else facing the same issue? If so have you found any fix for it?

Please let me know.

System Config:
iMac Retina 5K Late 2016
3.3 GHz Intel core i5
8 GB 1667 MHz DDR3 Memory

I briefly demo'd 10.14 a couple weeks ago. After getting through the new batch of bugs in the installer... I noticed what seemed like slowness opening various System Preference windows. Then the trackpad preference wasn't opening on some models. That's when I decided it wasn't ready for prime time yet. I never got to running any audio apps. I haven't tried it again since the .1 update. Maybe if the pattern repeats from last time around (.13 vs .12), 10.15 will be a bug fixed version of 10.14? Testing included a couple of the flagship Macbook Pros from 2011/2012 BTW.

My guess was bugs in some of the new GUI window animation stuff. But if you're having GUI performance issues running actual apps... Well, that's not really a good look is it!

Maybe 10.13 will end up being the last version of OSX? Can't be far away at this point.

The "fix" of course is to go back to your 10.13 install.

Updated from 10.13 to 10.14 (so no clean install of 10.14).
I can only say: totally zero issues for me, also totally no lag in keyboard and mouse inputs, also not in Reaper.
My system just flies and feels even snappier than OSX 10.13.
I am totally happy with OSX 10.14.

Maybe install the Combo update 10.14.2 and see of this solves things:
https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1987?locale=en_US

An OSX Combo update (against an OSX "Delta" update available through Apple Store) installs all OSX system files again, so any corruption of current OSX system files on your system will be undone.

Macbook Retina 2015.
OSX 10.14.2
