Default Video and audio sync? In Reaper or FCP?

Hi, I am trying to figure out what tasks are best in Reaper vs doing in Final Cut.

Here is my situation: I am making a music video. I am playing guitar in some parts of the video, but the actual audio for the video I recorded separately in my home studio. I would like the video - in those parts of the video where I am seen playing - to match the studio recorded audio.

So in some parts of the video, I might be playing slower or faster than in the actual studio recorded audio. That means I need the video to speed up/slow down as needed to match the audio.

How on earth would you go about this in some sort of efficient manner?

thanks!
Brian

You might try using stretch markers on the video track. To use them, add one (ctrl-w) where the sync is good (I think of it as an anchor point). Then go where it's imperfect, add another, and drag it left or right to correct the timing.

I haven't tried this with video, but it's worth a shot. You could definitely do it on the audio track, but of course that will alter the audio timing.
