Is there a way to make plugins float instead of be attached?

Hello. Is there a way to detach plugins from the effects chain so I can have multiple plugins open on my screen at once?

I think if you double click on the plugin name in the fx chain it will create a floating window for it? also in preferences you can search for and set "auto float" new fx windows so that they will not start in the fx chain.
Just to jump on the back of this post it would be nice to not have the fx chain window show up at all for my workflow, currently if i close a plugin window it will bring up the fx chain window also does anyone have a workaround for this?

When in the FX window – double-click on the FX. Or, select them all, menu-right-click and choose "Window float selected FX". Although, depending on your settings, the latter can be quite annoying, because the window will "move" to fit the GUI size of the selected FX (unless you use "select all" command).
