Default M Audio midi control

I have watched the Kenny Gioia tutorial on setting up the M Audio to control Reaper (I'm using M Audio Oxygen49 Mk4)

I am having problems with certain functions on the "Actions" set up as follows:

If I set up the Transport function then press the "play" key, the cursor does start to move but the midi control message is transmitted TWICE, once on button press and then AGAIN on button release. This happens for a whole bunch of other keys which I set up (go to previous track for instance; which means it jumps back one previous track when I press and ANOTHER when I release)

Can anyone tell me how to stop the M Audio from sending a midi cc TWICE (once on button push and once again on button release)

I ONLY want to send a message ONE TIME, when I push/release the button.

Thanks

Was it due to the Absolute versus the Relative settings in the Action CC Menu?

I ran into that with my Novation keyboard.

Yes it was. I’m not sure if that was mentioned in the Kenny Gioia tutorials.
