Faint peaks in the MIDI editor...?

I would love to be able to have faint peaks in the MIDI editor. I'm thinking like, I select an audio item while the MIDI editor is open, and I get faint peaks in the MIDI editor.

This would help in aligning MIDI events to the audio.

Anyone else?

And then I would want split in the MIDI editor to split at the edit cursor, and not only at the grid.

When I hit TAB to move to next transient in the audio, I may want to split the MIDI note exactly there. But when I click to move the edit cursor in the MIDI editor, I may want it to snap to the grid.

Split should split, irrespective of if the edit cursor is on the grid or not. Or...?

It’s a nice idea to show faint peaks in midi editor, I think FL has it, but maybe it is better to post as a request in feature request forum?

And you are right, this is really a feature request, but I thought I'd first test the idea. And maybe it is implemented already, only that I don't know about; many of my earlier feature requests have been like that

Though the number positive responses were not massive I'll anyway post this as a feature request.
