Default A stupid newbie question: different output than input

Hello!

I'm using PodXT Live with ASIO-drivers to record guitars through USB. In order to listen to what I have just recored I have to switch audio settings to my PC's sound card (DirectSound / Creative Soundblaster). Is it possible to set simultaneously input for PodXT and output for SoundBlaster? Or is there a better way to solve this problem?

With best regards,

Asio4All (www.asio4all.com) would probably enable this.

How about with kX-project drivers? I haven't tried ASIO4ALL, but I don't think it's a good idea to have both drivers at installed at the same time. kX-project drivers seem to work very well and they have an ASIO-support too.

Kx drivers can be fiddly to get doing and I think dev/support has ceased. ASIO4ALL will be fine with your other drivers - it's very well behaved.

From the ASIO4ALL FAQ:

Q: Is this safe?

A: ASIO4ALL is a user mode component that is neither running nor even being loaded unless you start an ASIO host application. It does not overwrite/replace anything in your system except previous versions of itself. The worst thing that could possibly happen is that it crashes, in which case you simply uninstall and forget about it.
