I have only been playing with them within Reaper itself, I'm not sure I follow the numbering convention within the text file.

my latest theme https://stash.reaper.fm/oldsb/1142887...es.ReaperTheme
"happy happy fun times" was part of an experiment to work it out.
have a look at the text, and then load it up into reaper. (show your R34p3R l33t-ness by actually using it)

I still don't understand. (I havn't checked to see if there is anything in documentation about it though)

Once you get it on to it, you keep on trying new skins - which of course is a rather stupid thing to do since the looks of the thing are marginal to the content. Nevertheless - though it's not a matter of great importance - it would be great if REAPER users could really 'create' the looks of their favorite tool, such as can be done with EnergyXT. Anyway, I'm making a piece of trash jazz today called Leaper , and that's the name of this theme as well:

https://stash.reaper.fm/oldsb/1142944...er.ReaperTheme

btw, VSTi's are running much more smoothly for me since 0.92, I'm very happy with that.

That's what I thought at first, but found if the colour scheme wasn't right, it had a significant impact on useability. The one I posted was intended not so much as to look good as to work good.

Here's another small, but significant remake of my Vegas2 theme - "Vegas3 - LoContrast". It makes things much more usable, cause the media item names are clearly visible now, unlike Vegas2 and the "washed out" produce much less eyestrain in the long run.
I use this theme, and the previous "Heavenly Theme" as I find them most easy on the eyes.Low Contrast stuff rules.

Oops, that was not the final Vegas3_LC theme. Here's the complete one.
Download it again and see for yourself what's been changed
http://www.stashbox.org/uploads/1143...st.ReaperTheme

Here's another one based on the Vegas 3_LoContrast theme, with much more visibility when the whole project is selected in a loop selection.
This is even better than the last one.

That's exactly why I prefer to replace all those whity greys with tranquil colors that simply filter your screen light. I would think that my Leaper theme (he humbly said) is in the end more easy on the eyes and in lower contrast than for instance the Vegas theme. Light grey is a tranquil color when light shines on it; when the light goes through it keeps the eye busy focusing.

Nice and subdued indeed - but when some items are beneath the loop selection area, they become entirely black! Maybe make loopselbg a dim purple. Selected tracks too dark also, here at least - maybe a dull pink for them?

Default Stereo Theme

Changed the darker elements of the Leaper theme into lighter ones. So here is the Stereo Theme, adjusted while I was listening to a great song, Pavement's 'Stereo'.

And the ameliorated version of the Camouflage theme, now sheer relaxation for the eye ... Camouflager:

Nice WINDOWS theme, petramar Where did you get that MacOS theme from? Looks very good.

P.S. Post your images in PNG format next time, those JPGs suck really bad, especially when zoomed. The colors are bloody awful.
PNG is optimized for GUI/text graphics like this.

I'm gonna try this theme.Looks very similar to some of my stuff

I was so fed up with the ugly looks of XP that I bought the StyleXP software that enables me to choose the good & clear & sober looks of my choice. Works very well and is I think worth the 20 bucks if you consider how much time you spend in front of your screen.

Default THE GRIM REAPER...

If you want to get Grim here it is:

http://www.cockos.com/forum/attachme...1&d=1147378416

I started with the Toxic theme made by Synth which I actually kind of like and grimmed it out a bunch. Seems like an appropriate look for a program called Reaper, wouldn't you say? Sure it's a bit grim but at least you are not blinded by all that bright glaring white found in the current default look.

If you like it tell Justin he needs to fix themes so we can affect the right side and the section below the wave forms and get it looking more like the picture above.

Hedgehog, the thing is I'm trying these days to be less grim than I was... Get thee to a beanery, I say to myself... the Beanery theme.
Takes it easy on the eyes, also on second sight.

http://stashbox.org/uploads/11473889...ry.ReaperTheme

http://img164.**************/my.php?i...ertheme8rd.png

NB. Also a beanery can be grim. Visit Kienholz's Beanery in the Stedelijk Museum of Amsterdam once:

Sure go for it.

Like I said it started out as Toxic made by Synth which was not nearly so grim even though that also uses a lot of black around the edges.

You might want to check out Toxic and see if you like that, it's kind of fun.

After a long pause,I decided it was time to update my previous themes and give you some more,so here's a new batch of Synth's themes for your enjoyment:

Heavenly Theme SE :A revised version of my previously awesome theme.Easier on the eyes now.
http://www.stashbox.org/uploads/1147...al.ReaperTheme

Low Fatigue Theme : This is what my previous Vegas3_LoContrast should've looked like A subtle, but noticeable difference.
http://www.stashbox.org/uploads/1147...me.ReaperTheme

Also, here's another new, very cool theme called the Synoptic Theme. If you like the Low Fatigue or Heavenly Theme SE,you'll love the Synoptic Theme.
http://www.stashbox.org/uploads/1147...al.ReaperTheme

And finally for the dark theme users, here's a very dark, grim theme a lot more shocking than the previous "Toxic" or the feministic "Taboo Theme": Dare you try the "Bloodlust Theme"
http://www.stashbox.org/uploads/1147...al.ReaperTheme

So,how do you like my themes now? (especially those of you using Heavenly and V3_LoContrast)?
The MacOS theme from StyleXP is a perfect match for the first three themes, except for the dark one, which looks good only with a dark Windows theme.
Have fun.

[EDIT] First theme was reuploaded,if you downloaded it before, redownload again.

[EDIT 2] Reuploaded the Synoptic Theme and Bloodlust Theme. Please re-download again.

I just updated the "Synoptic Theme" and the "Bloodlust Theme".The links are updated,so please re-download again. The grid lines and position cursor are significantly improved.
The Synoptic Theme now became my new favorite, replacing the Heavenly Theme and Low Fatigue Theme. Hope you love it too.
Here is a screenshot from the Synoptic Theme on my desktop:
http://www.stashbox.org/uploads/1147...ynths_PC_3.png

Quite the opposite,REAPER is a light reaper (a farmer),not a dark grim reaper
I don't need StyleXP,this Windows theme I made does the job for me.The colors look like a cross between Win2000,WinXP,Vista and MacOSX
Light,lean and not ugly.
...and I even got more space now

Very nice work, Synth, as usual!

You can basically go through all the themes and know who did the majority of them. The ugliest ones are mine, the nicest ones are Synths! Ha ha.

I have made some, too;
Some are made using some themes already present in Reaper, some are not. The zip file is a bit a mess, you'll have to choose the one you like and get rid of the one you don't.

get it here :

Default New theme

How about this one?

What do you think?

I found a work around for that white space on the right pain and the middle, you can't read the transport control buttons but until Justin fixes this at least those areas can be black which I like better.

particularly for bands/clients that take 50 overdubs to get a track right. lol.

I like this theme a lot and use a slightly modded version, i just made the track panels a bit darker.

Otherwise, fantastic job Petramar

[edit-i forgot] could we have a page on the reaper main site which has a more organised themes system? we are already close to 50 different themes and it might be easier to maintain with newer versions of the same theme...
