The latest pre-release has a killer Reasamplomatic5000.

Drag n drop or browse and select as many samples and it plays them by equally divided MIDI velocity layers.
With two instances, you can have round robin between , for eg, 10 left snare hit samples and 10 right velocity layers. You can sort em by file name, or RMS / peak values.

Combine with the latest jnif awesome sequencer, and you do amazingly grooving drums , right in REAPER without any 3rd party plugs

Im sooo happy i could cry.
