Default Problems w/ rendering(burning)with Nero

I guess I'm confused....
What is the best way to render a tune for CD play?
What I did was render to wav. form
Then used Nero and choose CD audio(should that change it to Cda?)
The problem it will not play on my stereo
All I get is a noisy hissing sound
It also will not play in Windows media player(same thing, just a hissing sound)
It WILL play in the wave editor...
Guess I'm still confused with proper burning speed and format
Thanks in advance for the help

Are the wave file you burn in 44.1/16bit or in 24 bit?

Yeah, 44.1kHz, 16 bits, stereo, is the unchangeable requirement for CD Audio - though I thought that Nero would convert from other formats if necessary.

An alternative approach is to use ReaBurn and its associated programs (the key one is Burrrn) - see http://www.inside-audio.nl/joomla/do...er_addons.html for the download, which offers a variety of features to make burning CDs from Reaper renders quick and easy.

I see from the hit counter there that 465 people have now downloaded it - cool!

I belive I chose the 24 bit(default I think)
I guess that was a no-no.
I'll try again tonite with the 16bit
I have downloaded ReaBurn (Thanks Art)
And will try that.
Art,ReaBurn is just used to inprint labels and time between songs right?
Thanks for the help

ReaBurn is a front end to various CD burning and cue sheet related apps. Using it with the apps described in the readme file gives you a complete CD burning solution for creating CD tracks and indexes and creating CD text labels for them (complete? well, perhaps depending on your exact needs, but it's all I ever use now).
