Default MIDI Editor: a native MIDI Info Bar

Hi there,

So, one of the features that I am constantly missing from other DAWs is a MIDI info bar/line that shows the values of the selected MIDI item:

The exact info is listed on the List editor, but I like to work in the Piano-Roll Editor. Something like the mockup below would be great... there is even the perfect amount of unused space to accommodate it. It's almost like it's begging to be used as a MIDI info bar

Of course, this info bar must also be editable.

Hi mpl,

I LOVE your scripts! And you provide the best solution that I've seen (for a lot of things). But sometimes toolbars just take too much space and the background process of a script running all the time scares me LOL. But really... it's more about the space. That's why I was asking for a "native" info bar.

But regardless, your scripts are always amazing!

Juliansader has one that can be docked directly in the MIDI editor's ruler (MIDI inspector), however it just displays info, it is not editable.

So... are you saying this is a +1 from you?

Oh... and speaking of editable, the fields should apply to all selected MIDI notes. If you have a bunch of MIDI notes selected and you change one of the fields, they should all update to that value. When there are multiple notes selected, simply show the value of the most recent selected (or first -- whatever is easiest) and color the values (something like) orange to show there are multiple selected.

I hope this makes sense.

I also love MPLs interactive toolbar, BUT I‘m using the MIDI editor full screen and therefore cannot use it.
So a huge +1 from me!

+ 1 from me. Would love to have that directly in the midi editor.

Also much love for MPL's interactive toolbar. If there was a way to update it and get it into the midi editor I'd be more than happy to donate.
