Maybe i should to add possibility to change color for JS plugins too, to be possible making all plugins of 1 color, don't know...
I did not added a lot of coloring options, because it will look like a circus =), even coloring only instruments is too much.

And if in horizontal mixer coloring works:

in this vertical fxList for TCP it won't work, it will look like a crosswalk, while you're on acid)

If you are asking me, then I would like them all to be the same, beeing able for the user to do what ever they please is best.
Information where to change stuff as a note in your script maby?

Oh, the instrument coloring is an option, right.

i think you're right, there should be an option to have all effects of the same color.
re-download script again! =)
in options select color "light" for instruments, the same for JS
Didn't tried it , because don't have reaper x64 at the moment, but should be ok.

Also, do you use hidpi? can you test new update, i made scale 2x mode, i'm not sure, if it works ok, didn't have time to test it yet.
I will try that now! Thank you again, this is fantastic, and if nothing else, I hope the developers either work on the scripting to allow certain features or make this a native feature. I love it.

again, I have to repeat, this is an awesome feature and I hope the developers have taken notice. I realize there's a lot going on and many things being added, but this helps my workflow a ton.

Very interesting and useful, thanks!

It would be great if we could switch visibility to selected tracks only.

Look forward to MCP Fxlist.

So I just re-installed stuff and guess what the first script I wanted in there was?.. alright-y-then.. I can't find you or your script in https://reapack.com/repos either, any plans? because this is a such a useful forever Alpha, it works so..

Ahh, needing that SWS-special edition might be a problem.. hmm, anyway

Hi, SmajjL
Actually, ubuntu version should be called a "beta", because i kicked the main bug in that version
I don't use reapack and also i don't know, how to make it reapack friendly, also i don't think, that it's worth to make a reapack repo for a single script, so i'm not really interested, but thank you for kind words)

Nah, there is a nice mixer in REAPER, which works better, than any crappy script, why to build another one? )
Out of curiosity, i made such script with free cell positioning feature and fx custom colors just to try, but i never used it , not a single time. it's not that useful as i thought at first and it's not very efficient as a script.

I think the design would be better if you could see all the inserts in the track space, even if they are only halfway displayed.
In addition, I find the color for muted inserts still in need of improvement. Maybe dark gray.

1. i don't like it, but probably i'll do it as an option.
2. if you're talking about changing orange color to grey, it won't happen, sorry, i like orange better, it's more catchy for eye and grey is used for offlined effect.
Theming for such small and simple script is an overkill,
if you really want to change for yourself, change numbers in "gfx.set(0.7, 0.4, 0.2, 1)" on lines 669 and 678.

Last edited by doppelganger; 09-20-2018 at 03:54 AM. Reason: corrected numbers of lines =)

did it , switch on in options menu "Show cut FX", try and tell me what you think please, because maybe i will reverse it back to exclude these unneeded computations, if it is a crap.

Wonderful script.Very useful for my workflow. Thank you so much. Is there any plan or possibility to show and edit "Sends" of tracks with the same way you did for inserts ?

this could be very cool, i thought about this many times, but it's just a script and adding such feature will make it too bloated and inefficient, i think, so i'm not really sure for now, but i will try to test it someday..

so, I guess this is slowing down my projects a ton, unfortunately.

I really love this script and hope something like this can be implemented either natively or through a script in the future.

Interesting, if it's not hard for you, can you tell me please,
what options you have turned on in right click menu and how many tracks/effects do you have?
Is you computer old/weak? How much it's slowing down?
(For example, on my i5-2500k in project with like 100-200 tracks and alot of fx, script takes up to 10% of cpu power, in small projects it takes 0.4%-4%, but i haven't used REAPER for few days actually after i added new features to script, so need to test it)

Just for test, try to disable everything in right click options menu and see if it still slows down..
Also, when "Show FX comment" is turned on, do not use this feature (i mean hold ctrl+right click in script window) while playing back or recording, this feature can be very intensive on cpu sometimes, it's only for usage in idle state.
I will test it and maybe will remove something, if there are some big problems.

p.s also, version 0.6 is twice more efficient, but it will be available only if developers of SWS will add few new functions, when they will be updating their extension.

I'd say about 20 tracks, with at least 40 effects
