Default midi editor addon

Hello,

is it possible to make an additional
midi editor with the Reaper SDK ??

That would be cool, because the coding corner
of the reaper community could help to solve
some feature requests like the tracker-styled
pattern sequencer for midi editor.

Quite possible, I guess, since the Reaper MIDI editor already is an extension plugin. It seems that maybe not all the required APIs are yet public to implement such a thing. But even if/when those were all available, it would be a big big task and require lot's of experience about MIDI and especially GUI-programming. Not something that could be whipped together in one night...Or even two... Maybe if Cockos open-sourced the already existing MIDI-editor, the needed work would not be so much.

Thanks for your answer!

I have no coding abilities but
some ideas.

Maybe there's a chance that justin
offers the required things for that.
the source code of a dll file or something, right?

That would increase the solution
of lots of midi feature requests from the community.

greetings
bob
