Alo-Ha Pipeline,

extremely well done.
Although you are speaking fast as hell on the videos I understood most of the information. Thanks for the effort.

BTW I am wondering why no one ever answered to your thread here.

Wow...
I D/L'ed REAPER today as a quick and dirty way to get something done on my laptop as I was away from my regular DAW...
Im a long time user of the Steinberg stuff, and I really am amazed by this Prog.
It was effortless to get it going without cracking the manual today... (although I have been using sequencers for awhile....
Checking out the routing and sidechaining stuff in these tutorials really goes a long way in making me want to switch permanently.
THANKS for making these vids!!!

Default Wonderful videos....

From a near-newbie these videos are a fantastic help.

I started watching them last night and was hooked.

There's only one subject that I would like a video on and that is MIDI. I don't know if it's possible but it would be nice to have.

Hey Pipe

http://fb.esnips.com/web/TEMPOMAPPINGINREAPER
this is my 1st try to do video of tempo mapping in reaper. I was thinking to make it in Hidi but then realised that computer literates in India know both languages and those who dont know englsih there are unable to use computer. So no use in making in hindi.

Default How to milti-channel route

Very cool video by Pipeline Audio on multi-channel routing. I tried it and when I select the detector input, I only have variations of L and R to select. I cannot select the channels like in the video. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Default My little stuff

Partially it "collides" with pipeline, but I focused more on things I was interested in. When I started with REAPER, I knew 1/10 of what I know know and I'll probably know 10 times more in a next year. But I asked myself - how to create a song that changes tempo? How to work with envelopes? How to synthesize (yeah, really basic stuff)? Plus - I went from Audacity - so what are the biggest differences?

I can't talk about compression, rea-fire and this kind of stuff, that's still beyond my comprehension and I know that I will return to pipeline's cool stuff a few more times.

However - this is it in two videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wav4qya5DSU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6n0qw_f9JA

(No jokes about my English, please ;-))

I especially appreciate the very good quality of picture and sound. Plus you obviously have great talent explaining things. I really do hope you create some more of them.

Default Thank you

I appreciate you like it so much, guys. Again special thanks to pipelineaudio, who's videos were great starter for me and as I said, I still have to grasp those advanced ones.

gofer: I may do some more, but definitely not in any future near, as I need to learn more first really + I wanted to continue with some hands-on experiences from my poor mini-recording studio in my series first. :-) But I may return to some things with REAPER - but again, I have to find out that there is no such video and that I have to tell something new or at least some specific selection in a compact way. Hopefully I'll not lost that "newbie touch" till then.

BTW: Give it a star or five, if you have YouTube account to pump my ego. :-)

Default Hi Everyone

My name is Michael Anderson and i work on an online radio programming station called SOH radio. We are looking at having all of our staff use Reaper for it is comprehensive and seems to have everything we need and more. The only thing is that we are having a hard time learning how to use it. We can't seem to find any simple start to use Reaper videos. We were using Adobe Audition, and Reaper seems quite different to use. Can anyone here please help us so that we can first be secure in the knowledge that this is the program we want to run across the network and buy our copies. Thanks for any help guys

I've done a two part screencast on Parameter Modulation for EQs. Simple for beginners.

Part 1 (5 min)

Part 2 (5 min)

-edit-
Added a Megaupload mirror.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LVNNMOSQ

-edit2-
Added a Drop.io mirror
http://drop.io/reaperparametermodulation

Simply toss the downloaded files in to any internet browser. They're flash videos.

Awesome tutorial videos! I can't believe how much you can learn on these forums in about 15 minutes of browsing wish I would have came here earlier.

Your mouse tutorial is going to save a lot of time! Is there a way to vertical and horizontal zoom at the same time with the mouse scroll?

Yes, simply add the appropriate action to your custom action. You could have it zipping around any way you like.

Thank you, Airon. These videos are very helpful. They add new levels of compatibility to all of us who work on multiple DAW's, and are really educational for those of us who have yet to write macros or create custom actions in Reaper (which really appears to unlock it's powers to end users).

just go to youtube and enter Reaper Tutorial in the search field, there are quite a number of video tutorials available, done by various people. if you want to watch them offline, get one the many youtube video downloader programs that are available as freeware. Personally, I use jdownloader for that purpose, but there are many more.

Are you talking about the two-part flash video ?
Here's another upload of the ZIP file that contains the two flash videos.

actually there are websites that you put the youtube url into and download the video from the site that way. no software required.
