Default Is there a way to run Reaper from my phone?

Android phone, btw.

I did a search, the answers were not for me and/or over my head. I'm not a tech wiz.

I don't want to record onto my phone. I don't want to do MIDI. All I want is to be able to use my phone as the transport. Play, pause, forward, reverse, record, track select, etc. Basic transport controls.

Is this a thing? Is this doable? Is there an app for that?

Do you have to set it up for each individual project? Can it just be global to always work with Reaper? Without going through all the website and naming stuff?

I've never stumbled across this feature (or even wondered if it exists) - WOW! No more clicking Record with the mouse and hurrying to get back to my mic before the count-in finishes (and of course so many other benefits to this feature as well). So glad I saw this thread!

Or get touchOSC on Android or iWhateveritis.

I use TouchOSC and also a MIDI footpedal to start/stop recording, depending on what is convenient at the time.

Sitting on a drum stool at my e=kit, well away from my computer, has now become a pleasure in terms of controlling Reaper.

At one time I also used a long USB lead between my Korg NanoKontrol but that was too clumsy.

This is SWEET! So far, the only thing I wish I could do is double-tap the fader and have it return to zero, but not that big of a deal.

I love learning new schtuff about Reaper!

EDIT: One other thing. I didn't have to enter username and password once I clicked the link in Chrome. Kenny did in the video.
