HI Blankfiles

I finally got around to installing your configuration and it messed up my system bad. I checked only what you said check : configuration, color theme, menu, and toolbars and all hell broke loose on my system. What's worse as it took my plugins offline and I couldn't get them working again. It erased my preferences which I didn't want. Unfortunately I didn't have a recent preferences backups so I had to do a system restore which seems to have worked.

Why did you tell me to select "configuration"?

All I want is the large tool bar and the icons. I don't want any of my settings or paths or my preferences to change.

What needs to be checked to get just the icons and the large tool bar for your theme to work? Why did my system lose all of my configurations and settings when I checked what you told me to?

Thanks

You Cannot Install the Big tool bar without install configuration ,each icon have is own action and I am sorry if you have lost your own configuration ,when you import a new configuration Reaper ask what you want to import with case to be check or not ,I know this is bad but if you want the complete I logic ,menu ,add track section ect you have ton import my config, maby next time D'ont forgot to export your own configuration before try another one ,if you want a help to recreate your config I can help you anytimes

Sorry again for the inconvenient

No worries Blankfiles

It's not your fault I just assumed I could just import the tool bar icons and the large banner toolbar without totally screwing up my system. I've never tried to import something like that before so I think I will be more cautious next time.

I just wasn't aware that I was going to lose my soundcard and all my paths and all of my plug-ins went offline. I tried to clear the cache and rescan but still nothing which is why I had to do a system restore.

It was a wake up call to export my configuration when I was up and running again.

Anyway, great theme.

Yeah...I did this on a portable installation (I have 3 or 4 installations just in case), so that got messed up like Doc is describing, but I have my main installation for work...You should not have a config file that people need to import that also includes your specific paths, shortcuts, etc. Isn't there a way to have the entire theme all self contained (other themes seem to)? Just asking....

I was wonderingthe same thing. Why couldn't a portable install be used as a template and then just compile the theme elements on top of that? Wouldn't that be better than a completely personalized theme?

The way this theme stands now I would have to go page by page through all of the preferences and settings and change them back to mine.? I might be missing something...

For anyone wanting the toolbar, but not the configuration..

You can unzip the theme file and copy the toolbar icons to your toolbars folder. Then build the toolbar yourself with the actions you want. Visually it will look the same.

If you want the actions Blankfiles used for the toolbar, maybe he can send us a screenshot of toolbar setup?

It's a cool theme for sure. But no theme is worth too much time for me (not trying to be mean, just speaking for myself) to re-configure a very usable system that I know very well. But because I do like the theme, I ended up just using my completely customized configs and loading the theme. From there I have been loading the config blankfiles supplied but only using single elements at a time (and not using the "configuration" option.....omg...that even has the vst scan path and default project included...)
Really nice theme graphically (That's why I donated!), but PLEASE figure out a way to supply this in a way so users (especially less savvy and maybe unaware) can use this without panic when they see their years worth of customizing vanish.

There's still a bug: Faders in mixer view still don't react to mouse scroll.
Tried riding faders with mouse scroll both in regular way and with CTRL pressed (fine-tuning) but to no avail

Can you please look into this? Thanks!

Hmmm.. sounds strange because I have same behavior here on 2 different machines. This happens after importing theme's Reaconfig settings. Switching back to default theme resolves it.

Try loading the theme but use your own (hopefully saved!) config. I do not use the themes config, it messed with a bunch of things for me(see my posts above). I like the visuals of the theme, and also like the functionality...but I still have problems with the config file. No big deal, but I think it needs to be addressed.

Yes, and by the way I will go through all the settings to try tracking what's causing this. If I find something I will report back.

Thanks Blankfiles & richie43 - cheers!

Hi Blankfiles,

I'm using Kontakt which manages up to 16 instruments per session. To drive those instruments, I use a specific track for each MIDI channel. Is it possible to you to make a dedicated MIDI track look ? As I use them, it needs only the name, input and fx fields.

Another request : actually, when I insert a new instrument track using your track menu, the default input is the first audio input of my device. When I use the native Reaper one, the input is automatically on all MIDI devices. Is it possible to fix that ?

Thanks
