Multiple jackdbus in Ubuntu Studio 19.10 messing with Reaper?
Scenario: one of my wild-haired sessions leads to a
Reaper lockup. I run Reaper from a terminal, so I can restart Reaper easily. But Reaper sits their 'initializing', or sometimes dispays the opening display panel in two offset parts of a gui, that has desktop backround included ( an nVidia factory driver side-effect?) I snoop and find that there are apparently two jackdus instances, as a 'killall -9 jackdbus' will terminate the running qjackctl, while a second 'killall -9 jackdbus', evidenced by no terminal output, kills #2, but a third attempt's terminal output says it 'finds no process', and at that point, when qjackctl is restarted, Reaper will again start normally. Anybody offering jackdbus insights will be greatly appreciated! htop lists it as 'jackdbus auto' Cheers Last edited by 4duhwinnn; 05-16-2020 at 10:50 AM. Reason: fix detail |
