Default The Linux Forum Got Demoted!

I mean, now there is a native Linux version of Reaper. This is the biggest milestone in Reaper history since version 1.0! The only reason I ever booted into Win 7 was to use Reaper, and now I don't have to. Everyone should know this! But here we are at the kid's table on a page that makes it look like this is one of the forums for non-English speakers. We are three steps up from the Lounge.

I think people would like to know that they don't have to run that OS with the built-in spyware, the mandatory updates that take hours, break your machine, and delete your files. An OS that includes mandatory Candy Crush and other ridiculous stuff. And it's made by the sneaky but clumsy company that fired all of the QA people and made home users the beta testers. And look at how that's working out. But Reaper fans won't know about Linux Reaper if this forum is always scrolled off the page.

It's important!

In the famous words of Joan Rivers:

The gynecologist says, "Relax, relax...I can't get my hand out! Relax!!!"

I doubt Linux folk are going to be turned away by this one way or another.

Although I do find it odd how the division of forums makes it appear as though anything below the first group of 7 are all "REAPER Non-English Speaking User Forums". To be fair, talking about Linux is like talking another language sometimes.

(PS. maybe take it down a notch about WinBlows, because Canonical didn't exactly make the community proud with Unity...)

Hah! Yeah, a lot of things were moved around I imagine people will figure out the linux thing based on the main reaper download page...

Also: it's right next to the pre-release forum! How elite is that?

As long as you keep developing REAPER for Linux, I don't care where the forum is listed.

Yeah, wonderful, here a linux user! But mostly via wine for now. Mainly just to be able to use all known old win 32bit vst's without extra work.

People forget how great some of the preset designers were
when 32 bits was the kings shining armour.
A great preset design never dies, even if missed by
the newbie throngs. Let the elites move on,
I don't care what they use, as long as they are happy,
and spare me the insults.
Cheers
