Yamaha M7CL Console and 2 MOTU 2408 mk3's
This is a somewhat unique situation . . . hopefully someone has experience with this.
Currently, the M7CL console and the two 2408's are synched via wordclock. However, we are using the ADAT expansion cards to route signal from the 48 channels on the console to the 2408 units (6 ADAT outputs = 48 channels of audio). Doesn't ADAT natively carry clock information? Couldn't I simply synch to one of the ADAT channels for clock information?
It seems to me like the WC connections are superfluous in this case.
