Default Copying regions screws timing

I like regions. I'd like to use them. I'd like to make a section like "chorus" and then copy paste that easily with nicely labeled regions.

But it fucks my timing. When I copy regions, I get these tiny little pieces of media items sticking out the edges. For midi items it even starts looping the midi item a tiny amount. This throws off timing of everything and I have to spend forever fixing it, which defeats the entire purpose of regions.

Am I the only one that has noticed this? Am I doing something wrong?

EDIT:

It's the right edge for me that always sticks out. You need to zoom in to see it. It's probably only like a few ms out, but it's a major issue, imo.

That's certainly strange. My regions always split items at the edges when I move them.

Maybe that's partially what's different? My items are usually the precise length of my regions, the regions don't cut anything. But I move the region with ctrl+drag to copy it, things aren't lined up. For midi tracks it will leave one side snapped, and it will extend the other, starting a new loop, for a few ms.

Maybe it's to do with looped items then? I don't ever use those.

You can do all that easily with ReaTrak

With the buttons panel, with Circle of Fifths, with the Chord Sheet Region Editor and in the main GUI.

Could you post some before/after screenshots of the regions with tiny items sticking out, and perhaps also a minimal project with an item and region that don't copy properly, so that we can try to replicate the problem?

I don't have time right now to replicated the problem, but I'll try and do that when I get a minute. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. But I might forget lol.
