Ouch, lagging a bit behind... anybody can fill the gaps?

In exchange, I have a gift, which is the spoiled name for 6.66, not so far ahead nowadays.

"A HELL of a release".

Too obvious?

Default About: v3.13 - 50 ways to... upgrade your REAPER

As I was just reading the first post of the thread, it occured to me that v3.13 name was probably a reference to the Paul Simon song "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover"
here on YouTube.

And what a nice thread, by the way ! Thanks.

J. Jack.

Some of these were useful, because I couldn't find them. Thank you and thank you others, too.

Now when all names are updated, please explain this joke to me:

Q: What happens if you try to sit on Death's couch?
A: There will be grim reaper cushions.

@vitalker I think it's a wordplay with "repercussions" ?

Just a thought: it may be a reference to Reaper's "age" and how its feature set is still developing.

Hope they'll use the line "I swallowed a bug" from Good Will Hunting one day...

v4.26, v4.261 - whole lotta misc
Could this be a reference to the song Whole Lotta Love, made famous by Led Zeppelin?

v3.21 - CONTACT!
Might be a reference to the novel Contact by Carl Sagan

And v4.61 - Springtime
Might be a reference to the Mel Brooks movie The Producers, which is about two producers wo want to produce the worst musical ever, called "Springtime for Hitler"

Could 6.76 "The Take me down to the parallax city..." be a reference to this tweet?

https://mobile.twitter.com/gamemaker...085568?lang=de

It's definitely a pun on Guns n Roses - Paradise City

"REAPER 6.79: regular scheduled assembly"

a nod to a comment on rocket launches where the rocket explodes: they call it rapid unscheduled disassembly:

SpaceX made it famous

Default I might have caused 6.59...

Hi Vitalker,

Great thread -- loving this. I think I might have caused the name on 6.59 -- see here. Oops!

https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=266378

Keep going -- loads of fun.

(I tried following up with a brand new silly joke a few months later, but no luck. I guess that's my fifteen minutes done and dusted...)
