Default Behringer

I am new to multitracking. I wonder if someone could advise? I bought the Behringer thingy and got it working for some acoustic overdubs after purchasing a licence for Reaper.
. I noticed that they gave some obsolete combos with it from behringer. I think from native instruments old stuff. ( as usual no support) . I like the guitar sounds in the free AC combo. But i am frustrated trying to get Reaper to recognize AC BOX COMBO.....I am not sure how to do it.

What Behringer "thingy" are you referring to? And do you mean the AC Combo vst plugin?

As a standalone it won't work in/through Reaper (or any DAW). You will need a vst .dll file to use as an effect in your software. Standalone software are only designed to work as just that...standalone. My suggestion would be to try the free version of IK Multimedia's Amplitube 3. It is an excellent program with many more options, and will do what you need and work within any other vst host capable software - here is a link, just sign up and download:

If you need any more help, please just let me know...

in the folder when you downloaded it was there a .dll file in there?
i don't know if there's a way to get standalone software sounds into reaper or any daw for that matter.
however, assuming there was a .dll file then make sure you put that file into your vst pluhin directory.

No there is no way to do that. And there is no .dll for that AC Combo rig...it's a "bundled" software that is obsolete.

It says that there is a vst .dll in one source, but no in another. But really it's crap software either way, and Amplitube is soooo much better...and free.

And also very important...a plugin does not go in Reaper's FX folder. It needs to be placed in a folder for vst .dll files, and then tell Reaper where to find it/them.

MENU/Options/Preferences/VST - Then use the "Add" feature and browse to the proper folder.
