Default recording bass

Hi everyone,I am wondering if I could record a bass going into the an Orange 500w head then straight into my interface? Just want to experiment but am afraid of frying something, thanks!

Also, can anyone tell me if there is a way to change the sound of the click source?

There is no DI on the Tiny Terror bass amp, I figured there would be. Yeah, don't plug it into anything besides speakers and mic it. I've never done it or heard of anybody who did but I can't imagine the outcome will be good.

Actually I just saw another picture that shows the DI on the side (XLR output)....does your Tiny Terror have a DI on the side???? Something that says "Balanced Output" because that's exactly what that is for.

If your amp doesn't have line-out, a DI box or an interface with an insturment input is probably your best (most economical) option. If you really want to keep the cost down, Behringer makes a guitar-USB interface for about $40 USD and I assume it would work on bass.

Or, you can stick an SM57 in front of your cabinet.

They are expensive, but you can get an attenuator that knocks-down the signal while putting an 8 or 16-Ohm load on the amp to retain the sound characteristics of your amp.
