It seems (and I could be mistaken, as I often am) that someone on one of the forums was running Reaper under wine.

Like I said, I could be thinking of something else.

Yeah it almost works good in Wine, a few little things are off, and the audio isnt terribly low latency or whatnot, but it's usable..

but dont get me wrong, the vsti`s WORKS!, and this is fucking great! I will wait mr.Justin to finish windows reaper 1.0, and maybe then i will have some "scum - linux - wine - reaper - suggestions", but now i think he got more importnant things to do

Yes, it works. Most of the problems I had were display related. However, Wine is an acronym that stands for "Wine Is Not an Emulator." Wine is an implementation of the Windows API on *nix systems, which means that there should be no performance hit from running an application with Wine. Installation of Wine shouldn't be too difficult, especially if you're using Ubuntu.
