Every mockup that Brice has posted on this thread has knocked it out of the box! I hope Justin considers your feature requests dude.

Thank you guys, I'm pretty busy lately, that's why I ain't updating the mockup as quickly as I used to. There are quite a few ideas I didn't put in the mockup yet, some of my own, but also things discussed on the #reaper channel with Airon, BeatByBit ...
As for the theme (Zinc), well, hmm, if Justin was to add some of my requests, I'm sure it'd give me a boost and I'd work on releasing the theme sooner, but right now I think it just wouldn't work/look right.
But I can see how audio & midi features/improvements/fixes are more important right now rather than cosmetic tweaks/features that'd improve usability (debatable) but would probably break some older themes. (yet the community is pretty active, so I guess people would quickly update their themes)

Hey brice, I took the liberty to create a theme based on your mockups.
You can find it here, and the forum thread here.
Thank you for Zinc
---EDIT---
Theme removed, see post below.

sorry Cybolic,
you probably meant well, but this clearly wasn't the proper way to go about it. You should have asked before distributing or maybe before doing all the (hard) work in the first place.
Had you asked and offered your help, this might have been totally different, and you probably wouldn't have had to hack bits and pieces from various screenshots.
I mean no disrespect, you did indeed do the work to make it into a theme, but I'd rather you do not distribute this theme publicly.
The graphics remains my work and you have no right to distribute any part of it without my consent.
Sorry everyone but that's how it is, but I'm sure Cybolic will share 'his' theme by other means if you ask him privately.

I'm sorry Brice.
I didn't mean any disrespect to you or your work, and have removed the theme again.
Seeing all the themes for Reaper composited from various other themes I assumed that "borrowing" graphics was generally accepted in the community, but I should nevertheless have consulted you before publishing your work and I apologise.

Lawrence, it looked very much like the images Brice has posted in the Advanced UI thread.
One fo the best themes imo

i'm sorry to say, but i don't like that kind of thinking brice. i thought this whole thread was about sharing your very good ideas to inspire and get people on your way (ui thinking wise, excpecially justin and christoph) but now that someone was soo inspired that he took a big effort in doin all that drawings you are not happy with it ?? hmm, i really don't want to discuss that, the thread would go too off topic, it's just my opinion that copyrights are holding back the progress. but anyway, i respect your opinion on that, just feel a bit sorry for cybolic. i've seen it more as a present for you that he done all the work.

I think that Brice's copyright(s) and wishes in this case should be respected since his work (the "initial" version) has yet to be published by himself, the originator. I think that's his most important right.
I'm not nearly as great designer as Brice (aldi, tedwarigo, White Tie etc). But I have seen components from my theme in other themes. And I'm OK with that, I guess. But I think I might have felt differently if someone took my yet unpublished theme, or parts of it, and published it without my prior consent.

Lawrence : a screenshot why? just ask Cybolic to send you the theme.
Valle: my thoughts exactly.
saulopv : huh...
aldi: you got that right, this thread was all about sharing ideas, inspire other people to create original work.
As I said in my previous post I also feel sorry for Cybolic for doing all this work, copying/pasting bits of the ui from various screenshots of my mockup and altering them for the various states. When he could have asked and we could have worked together from my psd file.
I was considering working with Youn since he offered to help a while back on irc. The only person who PM'ed me about Zinc was Solar, and I told him to wait.
The wait doesn't justify ripping someone else's work.

Sorry to go nitpicking, but it's hardly ripping when it has your credit on it.
Anyway, enough with the arguments, let's get back to discussing the Advanced UI.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I though taking it down meant it was not going to be available anymore. You're saying it's OK for anyone to PM him for it, and it's ok with you for him to give it to us that way, but not to show it publicly? Isn't that kinda the same thing?
Anyone wanting to illegally ripoff your actual (very oustanding btw ) graphic work has plenty of public graphics that you yourself posted to do that. Why would they need his theme to rip your graphics when the real graphic are all over this thread? What's in his theme that's not in your original?
I thought you were telling him to just stop giving it out period.
I don't suppose every graphic in every button in every theme we use has been "cleared". Tallisman ... better call Steinberg. Most themes (except WT's) I think are rips in some small way.
Either way, no biggie. I think people should be able to do whatever they want with their intellectual / creative property... others understanding it is not really a factor in that. It's your work and you have that right.
Great graphics man!
Cybolic: Email me the theme at lawrence@theaudiocave.com please.
Thanks... to both of you.

I'm simply being realistic, and know how things work.
I'm no tyrant, the same way people can use reaper past the 30day trial, I just don't want people distributing my work publicly without my consent.
Steinberg: has every right to call Tallisman and ask him not to distribute reabendo, the same way apple asked KoL to stop distributing his osx theme for windows xp.

Not that it matters or that it’s necessarily a bad thing... but I always thought White Tie's "default" looked something like Oxford (VST) meets Sonar (older version)...
Although, I assume you referred to his other themes and not necessarily to REAPER's default theme.

I'm under the impression that reabendo contains all original graphics. Its not like he hacked up Cubase in a resource editor and stole all the original graphics. People have been 'borrowing' from Steinberg since the beginning. I don't think they feel threatened by Reaper quite 'yet'. Mark my words though, it won't be long before the Steinberg forums are flooded with "can you make Cubase do this like Reaper?" type requests...
As for the mockup, I think its amazing! A vertical dock could make so many people happy. If one dock is great, two would be better. Maybe in version 3, lets all direct positive vibes Justin's way... lol
