After trialling Reaper with EZDrummer and my DD501 kit, I purchased a licence. Things are so much easier than with Cubase and it looks like I have been converted! Love it!

Default Reaper has saved me!

I was miserable working with f***en pro-tools just a year ago and have not looked back since using reaper. I will probably be the most grateful reaper client there is and will gladly give double for the upgrade!

^ What he said. As a customer who bought into Reaper at version 3.0, I just received v.4.01 free and I'm gobsmacked by it. It's even better than ever. You guys are the best and Reaper is for me the best and most comfortable (and trouble-free) sequencer I've used - and will gladly continue to use. Can't see that I'll ever switch out of it, tbh. Does everything I want.

I just bought a new REAPER 4 license for $60 including free upgrades through 5.99.

I guess I should have just upgraded my ver 2-3 license and saved an extra $10, but I'm more than happy to help support this excellent product which is the heart of my project studio. It scarcly seems like over-paying!

Thanks again for such an excellent product, and such an outstanding value.

Actually, you could think you just saved bucks on a V5 license, which you didn't have if you updated the V3 license

I started with v3.x and finaly paid the $60 and have not looked back..

Used Cubase for more years than I can remember. I intend to keep supporting Reaper because I have seen how it keeps being developed.

Thing I like about it.. is its so flexible that to me its like the swiss army knife of DAWs.

when I start making the big bucks I will give the full price

Keep up the great! work Cockos Team

I was a new customer when 3 was out and bought the upgrade to 4.99. What is my price to now buy an upgrade from 4.99 to 5.99 ?

I'm sure pricing info will come in about 90 updates from now.

I wouldn't worry about REAPER 5 at this point, I doubt Cockos are.

You buy a new license when version 5 arrives!

If you were a new customer when version 3 was out, then version 4 was a free upgrade for you!

If you just remembered wrong, and you were a new customer when version 2 was out, and you bought the upgrade to version 4, then version 5 will be a free upgrade for you.

If you want us to look up your license details (to make sure you didn't accidentally buy an upgrade that you would have gotten for free), please email support at cockos.

I was a new customer at 3 and got free upgrade to 4.99. What I'm getting at is the price for a new REAPER 4 license is $60 including free upgrades through 5.99 right?

So I'm asking what my price is for an upgrade from 4.99 to 5.99. Since I own reaper I assume the pricing is less for the upgrade than for a new purchaser.

There isn't one!!
When your license expires at ver 4.99, you can buy a new license that will be good till 6.99 (unless Justin changes the current licensing policy).

You shouldn't have to concern yourself with this for another 18-24 months (seeing how version 4 was just recently released).

Now, go make some music and enjoy the awesomeness of Reaper!!

That makes sense, I'll wait till 5 comes out and then buy it to 6.99. Thanks !

Hi,

I have a newbie question:

I downloaded the 32 and 64 bit demos for use on my desktop (64 bit) and flash drive (32 bit). I want to purchase the discounted license but am wondering if one license will cover both 32 and 64 bit versions or separate licenses are required.

If this is stated somewhere than I must have missed it and apologize.

Thank you for any help that you may provide.

Yep, you'll be covered. But it's even better than that. You can load it on multiple computers with one license purchase. As long as you only use it on one system at a time, you'll be within the bounds of the license.

It's one of the fairest, most liberal license agreements I've ever seen.

Thanks, tls11823.

I had hoped that I would be able to use the flash drive on a laptop for portable reasons, at my GF's house when times get boring, and at work when pulling 24 or 48 hour shifts.

Heading to the purchase page now.

Thanks again.
