Default Accidently have moved an audio track by around 200mS Fix?

I've been working on and off on a small recording as a learning exercise for a few months now and recently realised that I have accidently moved the snare channel by around 200+Ms (Horizontally); since then I've figured out how to lock the tracks from horizontal movment.
But I've not found out if Reaper has a helpful tool to help me time align the snare track back into allignment with the other audio tracks, Or do I just try making small visual movments left and right untill it looks and sounds right? I havent really understood if the nudge tool is relavent or useful in this situation? Although I did read up some online messages regarding it.

Update; since posting this I found one of Kenny Gioias fantastic YT vids regarding the Nudge tool (very informative) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmG_N920D1w Although I'm still hopeful of finding a precise method of measuring the actual time off-set and especially to check at both ends of the recorded song that its still time aligned.

I'm sure that in Reaper I am missing a simple trick or tool to help me correct this?

Thanks in advance. Jim.

I have looked at that video its very helpful, although I am still trying to get an accurate measurment of the amount of time that I need to correct the time alignment by.

Loop over it and use your ears until you get it where it sounds right

I'm a bit out of practise, but do I take it 'the item' has moved or the wav/music moved within the item?
As much as I'm very much old school and anti aligning everything to the grid, I do have snap to grid switched in during recording for this reason. My music might not line up, but the front of my items always do.
If it's the wav got nudged within the item, I'd zoom in on it, snap the item to the grid and then manually drag the wav to where it should be - I think its ctrl+shft+hold left click to drag it around?

If you recorded the file in reaper (or if the original DAW also stored a BWF chunk)...

Did you try Item > Processing > move item to source preferred position? That should work if the BWF chunk is stored which will also tell you the exact offset it was recorded if you select the item, click F2 then properties which looks somthing like this:

Length: 0:01.257
Sample rate: 48000
Channels: 1
Bits/sample: 32 (float)
Total samples: 60,349
Blockalign: 4
Datablock start: 736
BWF chunk:
Originator: REAPER
Date: 2020-04-06
Time: 12-57-18
Start offset: 0:09.639

Cool!

"Move to original recorded position" was a lifesaver in Logic sometimes, and I had yet to find it in REAPER (because I've not needed it yet).

Nice to know it is there though!

Thanks Judders,
The original recordings were made directly on an Allen & Heath QU Series live desk, sadly the QU series do not record BWF Meta data.

If you've not made too many changes since moving your file, try running a backup session?
