Default Anybody here used Xfer Cthulhu with Reaper?

Looks like a real cool step sequencer/arp/chord generator thing.

Wonder if it would make my life easier compared to say learning megababy.

You should look here...

http://www.codefn42.com/index.html

There are a few MIDI plugins there that can do pretty much what Cthulhu does for a fraction of the cost - i.e. nothing.

Chordz and RandARP for example.

And definitely check out CCStepper while you're there.

yeah, I don't think those take the place of Cthulhu, but could be very helpful as well!

Yes, I use Chtulu. Good stuff.

Mainly for live work, using the chord mapping to trigger keyboard chords from single notes generated by PK5 midi pedals while I'm playing bass.

I have also written a couple of songs with it and used the arp to liven up some static keyboard parts. It works well for me, I'm sure there's some free stuff that can do what it does, but I couldn't find them when I was working out how to play my stuff live . . .

Bought it right when it was announced. LOVE IT.

I don't think the free arpeggiators can touch it. It's pretty much the greatest thing, ever. So intelligently-designed.
