Default Vsti for Vocals

Well friends I am looking for some cool Vocal Vsti that can cut high frequencies and some effects and make the overall vocal sound better Or would appreciate any Vsti effects that needs to be added to the Final recorded raw vocals apart from reverb and stuff.

Hi.

Making the vocal sound better could mean a lot of different things.

Cutting high frequencies? Why not use an equalizer?

If you don't know the use of compression. I recommend learning to use a compressor. Settings vary depending on musical genre. Google for compressor tutorials, there are tons out there. here's an example

I use Reapers built-in Eq & compressor a lot.

Could you be a bit more specific. What do you want to fix? Which musical genre? Maybe link to an example.

Yeah cutting high frequency, as I am using a very cheap dynamic Indian brand mic the quality is pretty weak so I need to cut high frequencies and over adding a decent ambiance to the recorded vocals. Currently cannot afford to buy a condenser mic.

Bono uses an SM58 quite frequently. Good vocals can come from dynamic mics. I think 421's are dynamic as well.

If it's recorded badly than that's that. You can remove low frequency
rumble with high pass filter, adjust the overall color by slightly reducing
unwanted/resonant bands/frequencies, and gently boost the parts you
wish to enhance a bit, remove the noise by using gate when there are no
vocals and compress them slightly to sound more present and upfront,
that's pretty much it.

You could also apply a bit of tube saturation to add some even harmonics
to original signal if you wish to make them a bit brighter/warm, but don't
overdo it.

The part I don't understand is you are using a dynamic mic, which is already
less sensitive to higher frequencies, and you want to cut them even more?
With condenser you'd only get a clearer sound with higher frequencies more
present, so I'm confused what you are trying to achieve.

Also, VSTi stands for Instrument, a VST plug-in that generates (and
shapes) the sound, not process the input signal.

Besides EQ-ing and compressing you can try an Exciter. Something like this free one: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/3578.html
