Default Groove Machine idea with eXT

Here is something that might prompt some ideas:
-- I added energyXT1 and DK+ Virtual Drums to a track and generated the multiple audio output tracks for DK+,
-- in DK+ I loaded a kit and routed the drum outputs,
-- in energyXT1 I added a MIDI Part component,
-- in the MIDI Part component I created 4 parts (= MIDI Clips) in it and loaded a Groove Monke drum groove into each part,
-- I set each part to be toggled On/off by a different MIDI key (C1 ... F1) and put them in the same Mute (choke) group,
-- finally I Armed the Reaper track for Recording from my MIDI keyboard/controller.

Here's the pic:

Now, by pressing one of the 4 keys on my keyboard I can start one of the grooves playing. Pressing another of the 4 keys again stops that groove and plays the selected one. Instant groove machine ! "Old Skool 07a" is playing in the screenshot. Or I could put the trigger notes in MIDI Clips on the Reaper track.

Add another track to Reaper, arm it for recording audio, start your grooves and record away.

(And that's without using energyXT1's Live mode)

Cool

Got this mode on a very old hardware synth workstation called Sirius. Next to rhythm you can do this also on a bass synth part, the chorder part and a melody synth.
