Toolbars should be much easier to create, simply by dragging it, so it would automatically be converted into a button at release. Can this be made using ultraschall api? I guess, this is the most advanced api we have.
I know this concept from Tim Thompson's keykit, there you can simply pull off any menu item, then it gets automatically a button. Reaper's menu could work in this form, but it does not. It needs object oriented design I guess, the entire menu system needs to be changed, same for list entries. This could be something for version 6, if Reaper wants to be in year 3000 of DAWs.
