It would be great if you could write directly into the keyboard in "Named Notes" mode and reorder them like in Cubase Drum Editor. I think most of us find the notepad system a bit annoying.

That takes care of the names, but no reordering or other vital and needed features.
Look at the mapped instrument object that's been in logic for decades. Easy transposition,vel scale,notation drum parameters, and an ability to route individual notes to different destinations easily.
But I'm not holding my breath.
