What do you mean by "mode"? Mono/stereo? Normal/time selection auto punch etc.

Normal almost all the time, time-selection when I fuck up and have to chop a bit out. I've never found a use for selected-items, although I guess if you wanted to play through a track with multiple punch-in points it could be useful.

I've only used selected once, when I'd played bits at the verse start that I found a better bit for, so to save re-tracking it all cos I liked the general sound/feel I "dropped in" those little bits!
