Default Volume increased with group tracks

Hi everyone, I open a new thread as I could not find anything online which make me think am I doing something wrong?

After over a year working full psy production in Reaper I noticed that everytime I group some tracks even thou there are no sound overlaying or volume automation, the volume of the tracks increase by a few db.

Has anyone seen this?

Thanks

Are you talking about grouping tracks under a folder or literally just grouping tracks together by selecting them and hitting “group”?

If it’s under a folder, make sure the track sends are going to the folder and not both the folder and the master, although Reaper should do that correct routing by default…
