Snap Time Selection to MIDI Notes Off?

Hi. Wondering how I can turn off reaper's behavior that snaps time selections and media item edges to midi notes. Specifically, when I play keyboards, my timing tends to be a bit rushed. Then, when I try to trim a media item, reaper tends to include a little extra at the end. Unless I zoom in pretty close, I won't see that my media item doesn't line up with the grid. This causes me to have an off-kilter loop. I looked around but didn't see any preference. Can you offer me a clue? Thanks.
