Default Global investment firm takes control of Native Instruments

From Music Radar, in case you didn't hear:

"Native Instruments has announced that Francisco Partners, a global investment firm, is to become the majority shareholder of the company. Both NI and EMH Partners - another firm that’s invested heavily in NI over the past few years - are selling shares to Francisco Partners but will remain involved as significant minority shareholders.

This news comes five months after NI Co-Founder and CEO Daniel Haver and Chief Innovation Officer and President Mate Galic stepped down from their roles, making way for a new leadership team. "

I saw that, just no clue what the impact would mean to us users , I think NI must be profitable anyhow and will be around for quite a bit

We'll see... Based on their other investments (https://www.franciscopartners.com/investments), I'd expect to see a lot of cross-pollination, not unlike how you see Waves software on business laptops, or the JBL brand in new car 'premium' stereos.

It's not a stretch to imagine Kontakt re-worked into a contract-level speech synthesizer for LegalZoom, or Corsair keyboards to start supporting some of the Maschine commands.

Pure speculation on my part, to be clear...
