Default live drums

here's two non-vocal jams stepping out of the vsti drums realm and actually micing up a kit. One cut in Reaper, the other in the more familiar Cubase SX2. It's funny, the two songs sort of unintentionally reflect the vibe I have with these two programs: Reaper is warm and funky like cornbread and turnip greens, Cubase is sort of rococo and multifaceted, Teutonic and perhaps a little on the cool side.... _timmeh

Well, I liked the cubase one, I guess I was s'posed to be listening to the drums, but I was to busy enjoying the guitar, and the tune in general. The reaper tune was right down the middle, but the cubase one had some panning going on.....I dunno about that Putfile player though, seems a bit rinky dink to me, how does it sound to you compared to the original file.

You play well

edit: Ahh.....I see I had the volume down on the Putfile player.

Both nice songs, but I prefer the "REAPER" one, simply because it's funky. Some Hammond would sound great in that track.

Pity the site you linked to uses Windows Media Player ...

Absolutely love the guitar work on both; not crazy about the drums thought, they sound too mechanical to me with none of the subtle nuance and inflexion I expect to hear from live drums.

Is the kick clipping on the Second one?

The druming is a little mundane.

I wont comment on sound as I am listening on crap speakers at the moment.

I dig the first tune alot!
