Thoroughly, completely enjoyed listening to this. The simplicity *makes* it. There seemed to be some "unsure" parts near the end, but I'm not so sure that it was "bad" as much as adding character. I really dislike perfection (if it isn't obvious haha).

Sounds immaculate. One day I hope to dial in an acoustic gtr to sound as good as that, cheers Garrick.

Great track, reminds me a bit of Elliott Smith
My ears are shot today from mixing loud metal guitars, are the vocals panned slightly left?

Thanks for that Sammy. Yeah I haven't gone over it too much to delete the off bits.
One accident I will keep is me hitting the bass gat by mistake with my sticks.
There are a few drum hits that need to go and there are tempo fluctuations that could be distracting.
cheers for the listen!

Cheers Zeekat. I'm nearing the end of season 2 to lots of goodness to come. I'm a wimp when it comes to on screen violence so I'm hoping they tone it down just a little.

Hey tonybeepbeep!
Yes they are. I put the second doodling guitar on one side so tried to balance that out. I'm not sure what a good strategy is to use with panning as you probably can tell
It was a productive day.
I went for a run and did 110 press ups because my stomach is further out than my chest.
Chopped wood getting ready for the winter.
Cooked dinner
Got a six pack of a swish IPA beer
Rewrote some lyrics
Did a quick recording of me singing with guitar.
recorded a few hits on the boppad for the toms
recorded my new bass
added some quick doodles on the acoustic gat.
Guestimated the mix because I don't have monitors yet (bring on payday)
Cheers for the kind words, I liked Elliot Smith back in the day

This one's bolder, but has some sharp esses at the start. I hear a little low end rumbling at times (sounds like the mic is picking up too much of the guitar hole).

You could take that kind of performance and sound to the pro circuit and be successful.
Everywhere from pubs, wine bars to retirement homes.
I've done gigs in retirement homes and plan to do more this year, those old guys are cool.

Thanks for the listen Sammy.
This highlights that I could start looking at the details like plosives and esses.
On an earlier song you mentioned my bass being overwhelming. Is that behaving more?
I think that was the feedback that made me finally sink 200 on some monitors to stop me stupid guesstimating.

You know Morgon, I can tell you've given a lot of thought to this.
Imagine it, retirement homes full of Yardbirds, Stones and Kinks fans.
There be gold in them hills.

Well, there's an entertainment budget in those places, there's worse ways to make a living..
Serve up a decent repertoire from 1955 to present and all good.

Lovely track.
Thought about a little intro, something simple to introduce it?
