Default Been away for a while - Reaper OSX on Mac Pro?

Hows Reaper coming along for the Intel Mac??

I did try Reaper for Windows XP and it seemed great, customisable etc but now I am Mac only, with a Macbook Pro (late 2008) plus a Mac Pro 3.0Ghz..

I last tried Reaper for Windows back in Sept08 and remembering that it used to get updated every other day, im just wondering if i should dip my toe using my intel-mac?

How stable is the mac version??

I was desperate (and still am) to find an Acid Pro/Soundforge replacement for the Mac and Reaper (on Windows) seemed to do all and more of both of these!!

Anyone else using Reaper as their main recorder on a intel-mac??

(Actually I still have a G5 PPC 8Gb Mac which is more than capable for Logic, Ableton etc, running 10.4.11 - Would OSX Reaper be better for 10.4 Mac or 10.5?

I've been using Reaper OSX for approx 1 year as my main program and have had very little technical challenges. Mostly involving getting to know the fine preference adjustments.

There are always 'bug reports' on the forums but seems like they are for more advanced users using extensive midi and sequencing functions. If you are planning to use reaper as a straight up multitracking program....then it should work flawlessly for you.

PPC is likely to be more problematic.

aside from plugin compatibility problems, and some wonky graphics REAPER is functioning well over here on PPC.

I'm using it on a Hackintosh pretty much just fine - a few crashes here and there relating to exporting, but other than that, it's great!
