Default ReaLearn in Linux native Reaper

Hi,

do you know this Reaper plugin called ReaLearn, a midi-learn plugin for Reaper: https://www.helgoboss.org/projects/realearn/?

in the related discussion/thread within the reaper forum (https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=178015), someone replies to the question if realearn can be used within linux Reaper that it is possible in wine Reaper, whereas with Carla or Airwave it doesn't work (source: https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=313).

I don't understand the difference since both wine Reaper and Carla/Airwave (and LinVST) use wine, at least to my humble understanding.

but in fact, bridging Realearn with the help of Airwave doesn't work on my setup, too (Antergos/Arch linux with Gnome 3.32 and Wine 4.7). I have to add that I haven't played with wine's configuration (I'm just in my first steps here).
any hint would be appreciated. maybe somebody also knows of a similar helper which runs in native linux reaper.

thanks for your help!
take care

ReaLearn needs to be able to call functions targeting the main Reaper process, so it can't be used with "bridges" that run the plugins in a different process.

I want to ask again, if somebody of you knows of a linux compatible MIDI-helper (JSFX, script ...) like ReaLearn.
I'm looking for a way to facilitate MIDI-learning, e. g. to load different MIDI-assignments (also to reaper-actions) for different projects.

thanks for any suggestion!

You could check mespotine's lua API, which will soon have full midi/osc controller support. Check for ultrashall_api.

That's ok, as I'm pretty sure, that when I finished the functions, first scripts will arrive, that'll do it for you.

You can install it anyway via ReaPack and with that installed, scripts working with that take advantage of my API
