Default Trouble Connecting MIDI Hardware

Hello All,

I'm attempting to troubleshoot why REAPER is unable to connect to my MIDI interface (iConnectivity Mio10).

I notice the following in my MIDI preferences panel:

...but am still able to use my MIDI interface with the standalone version of PianoTeq (so the MIDI interface is working).

Regardless, I went through the trouble of updating my MIDI interfaces firmware and associated software, but still am unable to connect to REAPER with my MIDI interface.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nelson

Seemingly the "ID" if the Midi interface has changed. Reaper always gives it a new idea if it gets a new name by the OS. Depending on circumstances I don't know, this can happen any time if you use another USB socket.

At best you first delete ("forget") all "N/A" devices in that list to start the process again.

Didn't work unfortunately.

Hopefully uninstalling and re-installing REAPER does the trick.

A lot of the musicians on this Gearslutz page use your one.
I suppose you have looked at this page?

Hello Michael,

I ended up removing the !!!N/A... !!! entries from my MIDI preferences menu, in hopes that would resolve the issue. But it didn't.

Thanks,
Nelson

Hello Grinder,

Thank you for the link (as I'm pretty sure the iConnectivity Devs screwed something up with a recent firmware/software update). Hopefully something in the GS thread points me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Nelson

As you don't exactly describe "that issue", we can't help.
Please take a look at the Reaper Guide and the tutorial videos for an introduction.
