Default How to create a virtual thumb piano

Hi all,

I have a 17 key thumb piano. I was considering sampling it to turn it into a virtual instrument.
The sound of the keys is just about right for the intro to a song I have recorded.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a tutorial on how to do this?

thanks,

J

Here's some samples others have already made. Don't know if they sound like your piano.

Sweet thanks Kyle!

If anything the samples might be too in tune. I suspect it probably would be just as effective to record single notes and just arrange them as necessary.

Cheers,

Here's a tutorial on using shortcircuit that may be useful. I don't know how much you need the features it offers, such as multisampling, but this is the way I'd approach the problem.

Instead of getting your samples from the download site, you'd record them yourself, but otherwise this is the path to creating a playable instrument out of samples using SC. I believe version 1 is still the preferred choice for Reaper users.
