Default Reaper Newbie Question About Drums

Hi guys

Aplogies if this has been posted before.

I'm new to Reaper and producing music, what I want to do if it's possible is to program some drums..basicaly I don't play the drums, I have some drum sheet music, is there a way of entering the drum notes in to a VST Drum Kit to generate the sound this way?

Any help would be much appreciated?

Mark

Download Addictive Drums Demo from XLNAudio.com - it's free to use and should cover your bases !

Once you have your VSTi, load it in an empty track. Create a blank MIDI item by Ctrl-click and drawing for the desired length in bars. Then double click that new item to open the piano roll editor. Just draw in the drum hits as you see them on you sheet music. Tip: once you figure out which sounds are on which notes you can double right click on the corresponding piano key and write in the drum name.
