Tell me please, who knows if there is an opportunity in the Reaper to see midi messages coming from the device, like, for example, a similar opportunity in Studio one or Hairless midi-serial bridge?

Any idea how to get it to show the note name eg G3 or whatever?

Also, is there a way to see what note is being triggered by a soft instrument - in EZ Drummer I want to hit a drum or percussion item on the screen and see what note is triggered. I know you can look in the details dropdown but it would be cool to be able to see it on a monitor as for incoming midi from a controller?

As far as I know, hitting a drum in EZDrummer (and others) does not generate any MIDI notes outside the plug-in. So you can look at the drum kit piece's details. Or easier, the Drum Map for that kit.
