Default Bluetooth headphones - How do I use them with Reaper?

I have a pair of JBL bluetooth headset. I know they work because I can open Google Chrome, go to any website and the sound plays through that just fine.

However, at the moment, I can't hear the music in Reaper.

Is there an option or setting somewhere that I need to adjust to make it work?

If so, please tell me so I can do whatever I need to make it work!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Should be possible, but probavly too latency-riddled to be of any use.

Default OK, but I'd like to find out for sure ....

Can someone please tell me how to make the headphones be heard through Reaper so I can find out for sure?

My main issue is the damn wire for my current headset! I keep triping over it! I am as careful as I can be.

Does anyone know of a wireless solution that WOULD work?

Have you tried different audio systems? Here (using MS Surface Pro 3) I can get my BT speaker to work with Reaper only if I select DirectSound or WaveOut.

If your audio input interface uses ASIO you may need to use 2 ASIO outputs, patch that to a stereo PC line input using an appropriate cord, then set the PC audio settings to route that input to your headphones. (Something like: Set headphones as default audio output, and set line input to 'listen to this input'.)

There may be other ways, depending on your operating system and what options the headphone bluetooth driver offers. For example, in Linux, you could use JACK to replace the patch cord with a software link.
