Default Plugin Partner touch displays

Hi, I just found this product, curious if anyone has tried with Reaper? Any feedback, any thoughts? Seems reasonably priced, at least.

Looks like a run of the mill touch screen display. There's no DAW specific support, it just gives you a secondary monitor with touch best I can tell, but could have missed something. If that's the case, any OS supported touch screen monitor would do the same job.

Interestingly enough, I have a stack of 7" touch screens at home from experimenting with them with Raspberry pi's etc. aka non music related stuff.

Pretty much that's what I was expecting also. I don't necessarily need any of this (do I ever need any of it?) but I do like the idea of having touch screen control, but I'm still not sure how that would work with plugins. Currently I'm using a C4 when I'm not using the mouse, but some plugs don't map well or even at all. Brainworx plugs for example, aren't very good using the mouse because the knob use is just weird so having physical knobs is almost mandatory. Other than that situation, not sure how well touch is for plugins.

Slate also has a new version of the Raven touch console that I like.

The plugin thing was my biggest question, I'm not seeing any functionality to say make a plugin full screen in that second monitor, seems to me it would just be a very tiny plugin in the window itself. Unless as I said, I'm missing the obvious - I can see what they are implying but I didn't see where it would actually dedicate a plugin (or how it could) to that touchscreen.

That said, something like FabFilter plugins which have full screen functionality, those would probably work if you dragged them to that monitor and set it to full screen.

Exactly...that's kind of why I was posting here, they have entirely left that part out of it, otherwise it doesn't really make sense.

Also, expensive (look up 7" lo res screens for instance) and I would be wary of them claiming to offer 1080+ resolution via software.
Me? I would buy a cheap tablet.
