Anyone Use FabFilter Pro Q3 for Dynamic EQ?
I'm so new to all of this.. but really enjoying learning.
I found a video ( https://youtu.be/ByGQu-LWp58?t=70 ) of someone setting up a dynamic EQ with the Q3 for a different DAW but can't find anything on Reaper. I suspect if someone does this already, it's an easy process to explain, so hoping that person might be reading?? I'm purely experimenting with tracks right now but have my bass and kick both sitting at the exact same frequency. Dynamic EQ appeals to me much more than side chaining, mostly because I don't have to compress everything and worry about an extra step I'm not yet good at.
Thanks!

There are a couple of workarounds using the reaper stock plugins to achieve the same result. search on youtube for reaper dynamic eq you´ll find some people explaining .
Meanwhile you can test the TDR nova by Tokio Dawn Dawn record, free and very nice!

TDR Nova is excellent. Use it in Eco mode to save CPU.
And watch Dan Worrals video on Youtube.
And I use Pro Q3 with dynamic eq’ing all day, every day. It’s very good.

For anyone who wants a simple and straightforward explanation of eq and how to use it, the following video might help:

Funny enough, I just got finished watching this video on Dynamic EQ. The YouTuber recommends and shows how to use TDR Nova for this. Looks perfect for the job.. and yes... free. Can't beat that!

After demoing lots of plugins, eventually bought Pro Q3 without hesitation. You could get the similar result with other plugins, even with REAPER ReaEQ + Parameter modulation or ReaFir. But nothing beats Pro Q3 workflow, it’s super easy to get the result i want to hear with a few simple clicks.
